Address Verified helps create a more trusted online marketplace.

Traders who have verified their residential address will be shown as Address Verified throughout Flog It.

How do I become Address Verified?
We verify your residential address by sending you a personal verification code in the post. We will automatically send you an address verification code when you register.

When you receive your code you enter it into your My Profile page in My Flog It to complete the process. The code is unique to you and can only be used to address verify the Flog It member who it was sent to.

What are the benefits to sellers?
Buyers can purchase from "Address Verified" sellers with greater confidence. Sellers are therefore likely to increase their sales and prices by becoming "Address Verified".

What are the benefits to buyers?
Sellers prefer trusted buyers. It reduces the risk of the buyer behaving dishonestly or withdrawing from the auction.

Can Flog It guarantee where a trader lives?
We can't guarantee the traders current residential address. Flog It does, however, know that the individual who signed-in and requested to become Address Verified is the same person that entered the Personal Verification Code we sent them.

We therefore have a physical address related to an email address at a certain point in time.

Address Verified letters are only sent to Hong Kong addresses.

What if I move?
You retain your Address Verified status when you move. Please keep your address details up to date in the My Flog It section of the site.

Does my Address Verified status expire?
Your Address Verified status is valid for one year. After this time you will be required to apply to be "Address Verified" again. We will send you a reminder email six weeks before your status is due to expire.

How much does it cost to become Address Verified?
Becoming Address Verified is free for all authenticated members.

Your privacy
Protecting your personal information is very important to us. Your home address is private and will only be known to Flog It.

In certain circumstances, Flog It may be legally required to disclose the address information of a trader. Should we receive a court order or equivalent to release these details, we will do so.

Under no circumstances will your address information be made available to other Flog It customers.

Conditions
Address Verified is optional. You must use a residential address and cannot use a PO Box or commercial business address. "Address Verified" is only available within Hong Kong.

You need to be authenticated before you can become Address Verified.

We will email you when we send your verification code. If you don't receive the letter within 7 days of the email, contact us and we will send it again to the same address.
