Banned & Restricted Items
You may only sell items in your possession that you are legally entitled to sell.
Banned Items
Below is a list of items which you are not allowed to sell on Flog It:
1. Offensive Weapons
2. Firearms
3. Airguns
4. Fireworks
Note: Under several pieces of legislation in Hong Kong including Firearms and Ammunition Ordinance (Cap.238), Weapons of Mass Destruction (Control of provision of services) Ordinance (Cap.526), Weapons Ordinance (Cap.217) and Dangerous Goods Ordinance (Cap.295), a person who deals in or is in possession of any subject matter of these ordinances may commit a criminal offence.
5. Animal Products
Note: Under Wild Animals Protection Ordinance (Cap.170) and Animals and Plants (Protected and Endangered Species) Ordinance (Cap.187), a person who buys and sells any protected wild animal may commit a criminal offence.
6. Human Bodies or Body Parts
Note: Under Human Organ Transplant Ordinance (Cap.465), a person who makes or receives any payment for the supply of an organ may commit a criminal offence.

8. Items with Forged Trade Marks
Note: Under Copyright Ordinance (Cap.528) and Trade Description Ordinance (Cap.362), possession of copyrighted items in the course of trade or business alone may already be an infringement attracting civil liability. A person who sells any goods to which a forged trade mark is applied may commit a criminal offence.
9. Medicines and Supplements
Note: Under Dangerous Drugs Ordinance (Cap.134), Pharmacy and Poisons Ordinance (Cap.138) and Antibiotics Ordinance (Cap.137), a person who supplies or sells a subject matter in these ordinances may commit a criminal offence.
10. Entertainment Tickets
Note: Under Places of Public Entertainment Ordinance (Cap.172), a person who sells a public entertainment ticket may commit a criminal offence.
11. Radio Transmitters or Transceivers
12. Unauthorised Decoders
Note: Under Broadcasting Ordinance (Cap.562) and Telecommunications Ordinance (Cap.106), a person who imports, exports or sells unauthorised decoder may commit a criminal offence.
13. Unregistered Pesticides
Note: Under Pesticides Ordinance (Cap.133), a person who sells unregistered pesticide may commit a criminal offence.
14. Adult Items/ Pornography
Note: Under Control of Obscene and Indecent Articles Ordinance (Cap.390) and Prevention of Child Pornography Ordinance (Cap.579), that any indecent matter is publicly displayed may attract criminal liability. A person who is in possession of any child pornography may commit a criminal offence.
15. Tobacco
Note: Under Smoking (Public Health) Ordinance (Cap.371), no person shall place a tobacco advertisement on the internet nor sell any cigarette to any person under 18.
16. Uniform of Government Department
Note: Under Auxiliary Medical Service Ordinance (Cap.517) and Civil and Service Ordinance (Cap.518), a person who is not a member of a designated group and who puts on its uniform may commit a criminal offence.
17. Antiquities
Note: Under Antiquities and Monuments Ordinance (Cap.53), a person who discovers an antiquity and fails to report it to the government may commit a criminal offence.
Restricted Items
Below is a list of items that you can sell but that are restricted on Flog It:
1. Children's Toys/ Items
2. Baby Walkers
3. Consumer Goods
Note: Under Toys and Children's Products Safety Ordinance (Cap.424), no person shall supply a toy or children's product unless the toy or children's product complies with certain requirements as set out in the Ordinance. Under Consumer Goods Safety Ordinance (Cap.456), a person who supplies consumer goods which do not comply with the general safety requirements specified in the Ordinance may commit a criminal offence.
Note: Flog It reserves the right to remove other items that are not on these lists if they are considered offensive or are in breach of our terms and conditions.
